A little over two year have passed since indie horror movie Harbinger Down, the brainchild of a gang of independent filmmakers led by the film’s director Alec Gillis, reached its Kickstarter funding goal and went into production. This week, from 7 August 2015, the “Harbies” have reached the amazing milestone of achieving theatrical release for the finished feature.
It’s a limited release, so if you live outside the U.S. you’re out of luck. All the same, it’s a monumental achievement. Here are the participating theatres:
- Pelham, NY – Picturehouse
- Torrance, CA – AMC Rolling Hills
- Woodridge, IL – AMC Woodridge
- Bensalem, PA – AMC Neshaminy
- Mesquite, TX – AMC Mesquite
- Antioch, CA – AMC Deer Valley
- Houston, TX – AMC Studio
- Alpharetta, GA – AMC Mansell Crossing
- Southfield, MI – AMC Southfield
- Phoenix, AZ – AMC Arizona Center
If you can get to one of the above theatres, I highly recommend you book your seat. For everyone else, the good news is that the DVD/Blu-ray release is coming soon, and from 8 August 2015, Harbinger Down will be available via the following On Demand/Streaming platforms:
- Dish Digital/Sling TV
- DirecTV
- Time Warner Cable
- Cablevision
- Cox
- Comcast
- Verizon
- iTunes
- Google Play
- Amazon
- Vudu
- Xbox
