“Harbinger Down” Theatrical Release

Harbinger Down poster

A little over two year have passed since indie horror movie Harbinger Down, the brainchild of a gang of independent filmmakers led by the film’s director Alec Gillis, reached its Kickstarter funding goal and went into production. This week, from 7 August 2015, the “Harbies” have reached the amazing milestone of achieving theatrical release for the finished feature.

It’s a limited release, so if you live outside the U.S. you’re out of luck. All the same, it’s a monumental achievement. Here are the participating theatres:

  • Pelham, NY – Picturehouse
  • Torrance, CA – AMC Rolling Hills
  • Woodridge, IL – AMC Woodridge
  • Bensalem, PA – AMC Neshaminy
  • Mesquite, TX – AMC Mesquite
  • Antioch, CA – AMC Deer Valley
  • Houston, TX – AMC Studio
  • Alpharetta, GA – AMC Mansell Crossing
  • Southfield, MI – AMC Southfield
  • Phoenix, AZ – AMC Arizona Center

If you can get to one of the above theatres, I highly recommend you book your seat. For everyone else, the good news is that the DVD/Blu-ray release is coming soon, and from 8 August 2015, Harbinger Down will be available via the following On Demand/Streaming platforms:

  • Dish Digital/Sling TV
  • DirecTV
  • Time Warner Cable
  • Cablevision
  • Cox
  • Comcast
  • Verizon
  • iTunes
  • Google Play
  • Amazon
  • Vudu
  • Xbox

So what’s the fuss all about? To find out more about Harbinger Down, here’s my article about the film from 2013. When you’ve read that, check out the international trailer:
