A seasoned interviewer, meticulous researcher and creative writer, I specialise in long-form research journalism. From 2013-2021, I was a member of the editorial team at Cinefex, the journal of cinematic illusions. I began my tenure by setting up and running the Cinefex blog, before graduating to senior staff writer on the magazine, researching and writing long-form articles on the making of major motion pictures and television series.
During my time at Cinefex, I covered shows including Spectre, Star Trek Beyond, Arrival, Alien: Covenant, Thor: Ragnarok, The Shape of Water, Black Panther, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Game of Thrones and Terminator: Dark Fate, and interviewed film directors including James Cameron, Robert Zemeckis, Guillermo del Toro, Ron Howard, Luc Besson, Taika Waititi, Ryan Coogler, Justin Lin, David Leitch and Duncan Jones.
I now run the website The Illusion Almanac, where I continue to write behind-the-scenes stories about the craft of film and television.
