In 2022, Catacombia: Descent into the Deep received a coveted Leipzeiger Lesekompass “Reading Compass” award in the 10-14 age category. An annual German initiative run by Leipzig Book Fair and Stiftung Lesen, the Lesekompass honours outstanding titles of children’s and YA literature, selected by a jury of experts from schools, libraries, the book trade, specialist press and social media, plus young reading scouts.
